This service includes 2 passes.

In the first pass, I fix simple copyediting issues, and offer you options for how to address more complicated issues related to copediting, including: 

-unclear/confusing sentences

-incorrect word choice

-areas of inconsistency with names, events, facts 

-repetitive phrases

And in the second, I offer feedback on how to strengthen your writing to enhance:
-characterization, e.g., does your hero come across as a straight-up alpha, or more of an alpharoll 
-narrative unity, e.g., if you're writing dual POV, does each character have a distinctive voice that stays consistent?
-chapter openers and closers, because good beginnings get readers excited about what comes next, and awesome endings will keep them turning those pages

I use the 18th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style as a reference guide for US-English copy and line edits; for UK-English, I refer to New Hart's Rules, The Oxford Dictionary for Writers and Editors, and Copyediting by Judith Butcher. ​
